Methods for preventing and controlling third-generation sticky worms in corn

This year's weather has frequent rainfall and moderate temperatures, making the climate conditions particularly suitable for the concentrated migration and occurrence of sticky insects. At present, the people are fighting hard for the prevention and control of corn sticky worms. In order to prevent the occurrence of the third generation sticky insect, we have started to carry out prevention and control of the corn third generation sticky insect.

Entering early August, corn field management has reached a critical period for preventing and controlling pests and diseases, with sticky insects being the most serious threat. In order to prevent the occurrence of the third generation of sticky worms, China Agricultural Technology Network introduces the following prevention and control methods for your reference:

(1) Use 100-150g of 80% dichlorvos emulsion or 75-100g of 90% crystal dichlorvos per mu, dilute with water, and mix with 15-20 kg of sandy soil for spreading;

(2) Spray with 20% dimethazide or 2.5% dichloromethane or 4.5% cypermethrin emulsion 1500~3000 times;

(3) Spray with 1500 times solution of 20% isocyanate emulsifiable concentrate or 1000 times solution of 90% crystal trichlorfon.
